About us

The publishing house Narayana Verlag was founded by Herbert Sigwart and Ulrich Welte in 1980 in the run-up to the Berliner Gesundheitstage (Berlin Health Days). The publisher’s main aim was to make the classics of homeopathy available to a wide public at reasonable prices.

The group practice for patients covered by statutory health insurance was opened in Kandern in 1983.The first original reprint of the 6th edition of the Organon appeared in 1984, but afterwards the company’s publishing activities took a back seat to everyday work in the practice. Only when a homeopathic doctor joined the team in 2003 was the time ripe to pass on the wealth of experience gained in a wide variety of homeopathic disciplines over the years.

The publishing company has since expanded considerably. More than 30 new publications appeared in one year. Our book list aims to unite the latest homeopathic ideas with the most important classical works, as we do in our practice.
